I have found my dream job since joining Island-hopping. Since my childhood in the cultural melting pot of Sarejevo I have always wanted to travel, and get to know other countries, languages and most importantly people. At the age of 15 I had to leave my family for my own safety and moved to relations in Porec. Here I attended a hotel technical school for four years, followed by two years in the school of tourism in Opatija. I learned German as an Au pair for an Austrian-Croatian family in Liechtenstein , and amazingly my German remains accent free! I always freshen up my Italian in the Winter season while working in the South Tyrolean skiing resorts.

I met Sascha in Porec and therefore the question of how I came to Island-hopping is answered. Now I have become an expert on the Kvarner Bay , which is my favourite and main holiday destination.

 Cycling has become more and more fun and more interesting for me. However my concept of a difficult tour has changed due to my fitness (luckily for me!). Therefore when I say that the next cycling route only has a "few little hills", some groups tell me that they have seen my nose growing longer! That`s how I got my new nickname "Pinnocchio".

II really enjoy getting to know my homeland better by cycling and cruising through its waters and introducing my guests to the beauty and long history and culture of its islands and towns. I have lost all desire to travel abroad as here in Croatia there is always something new to discover and our islands are simply beautiful.

 Like all Croatians I love singing and dancing and therefore as part of my obligatory Croatian course for my guests, "O Marijana" is always to be heard.
