Hello, I'm Claudette from Amsterdam.

I'm a new tour-guide with Island Hopping and have just completed my first tours in Greece after having experienced some months ago the Island Hopping concept myself as a guest. Full of enthusiasm about these combined bike and boat tours, I returned to Amsterdam and immediately applied for the job.

Being Dutch, biking isn't exactly unfamiliar to me. I guess I could say that biking runs in my blood. Almost every Dutch person rides a bike, and not just for fun either but also to transport just about anything.
In a country without any hills biking is easy as long as the north wind doesn't mess you about. Nevertheless, the winding roads of Greece and Croatia don't scare me since being a qualified spinning-instructor, they shouldn't be a problem for me.

Who would have imagined that my passions (foreign languages, meeting interesting people and biking) would one day combine in one and the same job? I learnt German on a cruise ship on the Danube, French as an au-pair with an Italian-French familiy in the south of France. While I worked in  banking I was able to improve my English language skills. The bank must wait for me a bit now because at the moment I much prefer to accompany the athletically demanding but at the same time relaxing Island Hopping tours. For me it's a great challenge to help you have a good time, and already I'm looking forward to some great rolling - downhill, of course!
