Hello, my name is Björn and I am a self-acknowledged sportaholic.

Although I spent many hours a week training on the bike, bicycling is only second on my list of favorite ways of locomotion.

Since 1993 I have been participating worldwide in ultra-long distance running competitions.

I love to explore actively nature, culture and people of foreign parts. I am particularly fond of islands because they are so special. Islands have their very own kind of atmosphere. Embraced by the sea, in close relationship with nature, they constitute a micro cosmos all of their own. And their number is limited. Although many of them are relatively close to the mainland, they feel as if they are far removed from the humdrum of the mainland.
