Hi, I am Davor.

Compared with my Croatian compatriots, I am almost exotic in the choice of my favorite mode of transport. Whereas most young men of my generation dream of a powerful motor under the hood of their car, I've always since my early days fancied the good old bike. And I have stuck to it through the years. I don't only use the bike in town but also love to go on long biking tours.

I was born and grew up in Switzerland, in Baden, to be exact. At the nearby university of Zurich I studied polital science, economic and social history and international law. Between various jobs I've always travelled around. While preparing for a bike tour to Croatia and back, I happened to come across Island Hopping in the internet. The mixture of biking, boating, history and culture appealled to me. An additional plus is the fact that as a tour-guide I am be able to discover anew many corners of my country.

Our guests will surely quickly get used to my Swiss accent. Since some years ago a young lady whispered in my ear that my German sounded "sweet", I am firmly convinced that we speak impeccable German in Switzerland. In my opinion, this compliment is in no way diminished by the fact that at the time we were carousing near the Reeperbahn...
