Hi, my name is Drazen.

"What a strange name" you might think, but it isn't really because I am from Croatia, where I also spent most of my life. As quite a young lad though I came to Germany to hide from the war. The good side of that mess was that I learnt German and something of the western way of life.
Part of that was bicycling, because in Croatia I most certainly would not have been in the saddle as much as in Germany. We Croats generally much prefer to get around by car, although I, for one, still love biking.

I finished an economics college course, but that did not get me anywhere in Croatia. So I worked as a waiter at the Croatian coast until last summer, when I ran into my current Island Hoppping colleagues. I was told that Island Hopping always welcomes people speaking foreign languages.

So here I am, hoping that we'll soon do some Island Hopping together and that I can pass on to you all I know about Croatia. I also hope that together we'll learn and discover many new things. As the old proverb has it: You never stop learning.

And, by the way, I am 30 years old.

I hope we shall meet soon on one of our boats and hop around together.
