Hallo, I am Frauke.

I think that even as a small child I was at heart a globetrotter.

My parents, originally "northern lights" from Bremen, were drawn to southern parts early on, so that I, the middle one of three girls, was born in Caracas, Venezuela. After some time in South America, we moved back to Germany and following some intermediate stops in Bavaria and at the North Sea we finally found a new home in beautiful Regensburg. Thus I am a mixture of southern temperament and Bavarian "Gemütlichkeit". As my zodiac sign is the fish, I love the sea and am passionate about sports.  Whenever possible I pack my bike, my skies or my hiking boots and off I go into the mountains!

My second great passion: the natural and cultural beauties of our planet Earth, and so I started out six years ago from Regensburg on the Danube
- "Italy's northernmost city" - to the historical Moselle metropolis of Trier to study the interaction of man and his planet. There followed a few wonderful years of travel and discovery, quite in the spirit of "applied" geography studies.

Numerous excursions later, a fabulous year in Spain and exciting months in the Philippines, I came through friends in contact with a travel organisation for guided bike tours and knew at once: this is it!
Since then I can't think of anything more beautiful than to explore by bike and in the company of guests the unique features of a region.

Following the motto: "The journey is the destination", I have shared wonderful moments bicycling together with many lovely people.

In 2006, luck was with me once again and brought me - initially as a guest - to the Bahriyeli. And from then on I was captivated. I found out
  what was even more beautiful to me than "just" biking along a river or in the mountains: namely, to hop from island to island, with a bike, on a beautiful boat.

Now I am already looking forward to sharing with you my enthusiasm for this mode of travelling and letting ourselves be enchanted by the island world of Croatia, Greece and Turkey.

And don't forget: The most important piece of luggage is always a joyfull heart!
