For all of my almust 40 years in this world, as a "multiregionalist" I´ve avoided being pinned down to a single geographic or linguistic german home. Living on Lake Constance for more than 15 years, though, has slowly left its welcome marks on me.

fter several years of studying mathematics and philosophy in Constance, Ghent, and Toronto, the latter city threw a wrench into my plans. In order to experience the vastness and beauty of Canada, at the end of my year studying there I biked all the way across the country and spontaneously and irreversibly mutated into a bicycle traveler. Subsequent semester vacations went for other continents on the same two wheels, and in this way I eventually came into contact with bicycle tourism.
