Yasin grew up in the far West of Austria. Like a mountain goat, he enjoyed running and jumping up and down the slopes of the Alps in the hope of meeting fellow creatures (chamois, capricorn, or lynx)

From early childhood, he did many ascents (and descents) on the bicycle, as in a village of 300 souls at 800 m altitude there is not much else to do. When the time came to decide on how to make a living, he opted for Architectural draughtsman. Very quickly after the apprenticeship he noticed, however, that his real interest lies in ethnology, more exactly, in turkology. This is,of course, owing to his Turkish parents, who took every opportunity to instill the love of their home country and culture in their son. He now studies Turkology in Vienna and enjoys the big city life.

Still, like the mountain goat he is, he always likes to break free from the confinement of the streets and enjoys the outdoors and the calmness, the pure air of the sea and the mountains.
