Our friendly and competent guides are the heart and the soul of islandhopping. Most of them originate directly from the tourist country and live off their activity as tour guide. Some guides have already been working for us for more than five years and they are truly at home on the islands and ships. It is a dictum among them that one can only remove them from the ships at the end of the season "through surgery", since they would not go voluntarily.

The tour-guiding is an important topic for us. With the bicycle tours with more than 20 participants a second guide is on board (this means: nearly always). One of them forms the rearguard of the group, so that you have security of being able to take his (or her) assistance in case of a breakdown. The guides mostly divide the position of the "mechanic" and the "culture Minister" among themselves, so that the one worries about your bicycles, while the other one gives you an understanding of past and cultural peculiarities of the tourist country.
