Rental Bikes & Insurance

Our different types of rental bikes:
For this tour we are offering the following five types of rental bicycles. Please note that the rental of our saddle bags are only possible in combination with the rental of a 21-gear-trekking bike or an E-bike of the Swiss brand Flyer. Should you decide to rent a mountain bike or a racing bike we can offer you a small bagpack in order to take drinks, maps and other supplies with you on the cycle tours. All rental bikes will be given to you with a first aid kid, repair kids for tyres, spare cycle tubes and can be locked.

Insurance of the rental bikes:
We offer an additional insurance against damage and theft of your rental bike: The cost is 10 euro per per week for our 21-gear-trekking bikes and 24-gear-hardtail MTBs or 20 euro per week for our 27-gear-fullsuspension MTBs, 30-gear-racing bikes and the electronic bikes (not insured: deliberate damage).

Own Saddle and Click Pedals
Should you not want to be without your own saddle (without the post) or your own click pedals, please bring them with you and let them be attached to your rental bicycle.

Our Rental Bikes in the Kvarner Bay: 21-Gear-Trekking-Bike of the Islandhopping Brand

21-gear-ladies-bike
21-gea-men-bike

Description
Our 21-gear-trekking-bikes are basic bicycles that are available in four different frame sizes: 46 cm and 52 cm for ladies, 56 cm and 60 cm for men. All bicycles are equipped with a precise Shimano gear shift, Shimano V-brakes with strong "bite", 28 inch hollow chamber rims witn quick clambs, safety mudguards and a comfortable Selle Royal touring saddle.

Bike Hire
The 21-gear-Islandhopping-trekking-bikes are rented for 80 Euro per week.

E-Bike i:SY Flyer ECO

Electronic bike of the Swiss brand Flyer

Description
The i:SY-Flyer ECO, a relatively light model of 21 kg, is a compact bike with a special low frame geometry for easy mounting and 20-inch wheels. The handlebar "Speedlifter Twist" is turnable, making the bike space-efficient for storage. This E-Bike model is equipped with an 8-gear-Shimano hub gearshift (Nexus) as well as Shimano V-brakes. A 10-amp battery along with an 8-amp back-up allow for unlimited riding pleasure. The type i:SY Flyer ECO is available for all persons with a body height of 1,50 m - 1,90 m. For all participants bigger than 1,90m we do not have any E-Bikes available.

Bike Hire
An E-bike can be rented for a weekly fee of 160 euros.

24-gear-hardtail MTB TREK 4300

Bike Description
Our 24-gear hardtail MTBs of the brand Trek 4300 are equipped with an ergonomic formed aluminum frame (5 different sizes available from 16' to 24' = 155 cm - 210 cm height), front suspension, puncture proof Bontrager LT3 studs, skid proof handlebar, Wellgo-Pedals, precise derailleur of the brand Shimano Alivio/Altus and handy Shimano V-Brakes. Additional basic configurations are a bottle cage and a kickstand of the brand Hebie.

Bike Rental
The hardtail MTBs can be rented for 80 euro / week.

27-gear fullsuspension MTB TREK Fuel X8 or Cube AMS Comp

Description
We also provide fullsuspension bikes of the Cube AMS Comp brand or Trek Fuel X 8 brand - powerful up the mountain, agile and handy on single tracks and dependable on downhill sections. Hydroforming adds stiffness and less weight to the frame. The bikes are equipped with high-class components: Size tuned kinematic in the back, Rock Shox Reba SL with remote lockout in front, exact 27-gear propulsion of Shimano and disk break.

Bike Hire
These high-quality fullsuspension mountain bikes are rented for 160 euro per week.

30-gear racing bike TREK 2.3

Description
The TREK2.3. racing bike is the perfect bicycle for this passionate hobby- racing bike cyclists who are looking for a well-proven and reliable tour bike. Due to the ergonomic form of the Alpha-Black-Aluminium frame it is very light, stable and therefore ideal for speedy cycling. This racing bike is offered in different frame sizes: 50, 54, 56 and 60. Furthermore it is equipped with a 30-gear shimano derailleur, slip-proof and safe shimano brakes, Bontrager carbon seat post and race-carbon suspension fork.

The racing bikes are rented for 160 euro per week.

For the duration of the tour we supply you - when renting a 21-gear-trekking bike or an E-Bike - with a waterproof pannier by Ortlieb, a practical way of carrying drinks, bathing gear, camera etc. The use of our Islandhopping panniers is free of charge.
