On the Ionian Islands off the west coast of Greece, Hellas shows her greenest side: Pure nature, the crystal clear blue shimmering Ionian Sea and centuries of Venetian influences dominate the archipelago of the Ionian Islands. From Kefallonia with it's fantastic mountain world this journey will lead you to regions which are not very well known abroad. Discover the famous island of Ithaca which is said to have been the home of Odysseus. You will never forget the green bird sanctuary island of Lefkas and Zakynthos with its idyllic beaches where the large sea turtle Caretta Caretta lays her eggs. Important information concerning the different itineraries in summer and autumn
Due to the change of the Greek inland flight schedule of Olympic Airways, this tour will start in summer from the island of Zakynthos, but in autumn from the island of Kefallonia.
The reason is that in October there is only one daily flight from Zakynthos to Athens which is late at night and this makes it impossible to reach a connection flight to return home at the same day. But there are three daily flights from Kefallonia to Athens in October and therefore we will change the embarkation and disembarkation harbour from Zakynthos town to Sami on Kefallonia.
This means only a small change concerning the itineray. The visited island will be exactly the same, but will be visited in a different order.
