Hi everyone
My name is Lizélle Gubitz and although I have some German roots, I'm a proud South African. I was born in South Africa and lived there all my life. I have been lucky enough to start travelling at a young age and as they say, 'the travelling bug bit me'. After I graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management I hopped on a plane in search for my new adventure.
The question most often asked is: "How did you end up in Croatia all the way from South Africa?” Well the answer is simple: "I'm one of the luckiest people on earth." It was through the want for learning German that I stumbled upon Islandhopping. I couldn't be happier to end up working for an amazing company in the most beautiful country, in the outdoors every day, with guests from all over the world, on the sea, on boats AND on a bicycle. What more could I ask for?
With me as your tour guide you will experience Croatia with some South African energy and a great amount of enthusiasm and bubbliness!
I have fallen in love with Croatia and I would like to share that love with all of you whether it’s through exploring with sight or hearing, German or English. You are more than welcome to laugh at my expressions. Even the non-German speaking guests can understand my German... just look at what my hands are doing. I still don't know if portholes are called ‘augenbulle’ or ‘bullauge’. Both sound sooo nice to me.
I am looking forward to some more great adventures with you, whether it is learning about Croatia, exploring Croatia or learning the language together... or just enjoying the beautiful country from our bicycles and boat. It will be fun!
I’m looking forward to it.
Lizélle
