Mountain Bike Cruise Kvarner Bay - Itinerary
1st Day (Sun) Omišalj – Cres (approx. 36 km /22 mi. by MTB / elevation 540 metres)

2nd Day (Mon) Island of Cres and Lošinj (approx. 61 km / 38 mi. by MTB / elevation 750 metres)

Today’s trip starts in Cres and leads us first to Valun. We’ll bike on small paths while we have a fantastic view over the sea. Later on we’ll bike around Lake Vraner, the natural fresh water reservoir of Cres. Later we’ll reach the small artist’s town of Osor where we will meet the ship for lunch. After an long swim stop you can decide either to join an additional bike tour (20 km/12,5 mi.) to Lošinj or to spend the afternoon lingering on board during the sail to Mali Lošinj. We’ll stay overnight in Mali Lošinj with an opportunity to visit the music bar that became famous among Island hoppers.
3rd Day (Tue) Islands of Lošinj and Molat (36 km / 18 mi. by MTB / elevation 350 metres)

A short bike tour in the morning leads us along the coast of the island of Losinj from one bay to the next. Our destination is the beautiful harbor of Veli Losinj with its numerous fishing boats and dominated by the huge church of St. Anthony. After a coffee break we ‘ll cycle on a single trail back to the ship where we’ll have lunch. In the afternoon crossover to the small island of Molat. Overnight stay on Molat.
4th Day (Wed) Island of Dugi Otok (67 km /42 mi. by MTB / elevation 1000 metres)

While we have breakfast, the ship will take off and take us past many small islands to the "spice island" of Dugi Otok. Our bike tour will start in the bay of Bozava, which is surrounded by woods of pine, agave and tamarisk trees, and we’ll ride on a road nearly free of traffic. Along the way we’ll stop for lunch in the picturesque harbor of Savar. Afterwards we’ll bike to Sali. You’ll be impressed by the terrific view of the sea and surrounding islands. In the afternoon you shouldn’t miss to try the magnificent ice cream in the harbor of Sali.
5th Day (Thu) Island of Pag (approx. 37 km / 23 mi. by MTB / elevation 500 metres)

In the morning we cruise to the island of Pag which is well-known for its cheese. In the afternoon we bike in between the ancient stone walls, built by the inhabitants for protection from the wind, to Novalija for lunch. After lunch we bike on the narrowing peninsula till we reach the sea, where the ship is waiting to take us to Rab. The island of Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The fortified town of Rab with its four famous bell towers was built in the middle ages on a wedge-shaped headland. After dinner we can explore the narrow alleys with numerous cozy cafes.
6th Day (Fri) Island of Rab (approx. 32 km / 20 mi. by MTB / elevation 900 metres)

Biking along the promenade and through the Dundo-Woods back to Rab, where we will have lunch on board. In the afternoon the ship will be take us to the island of Krk, where you can join a guided sightseeing tour through the worth seeing Old Town. Overnight stay in Krk.
7th Day (Sat) Island of Krk (approx. 55 km / 34 mi. by MTB / elevation 900 metres)

We’ll bike over the ridge of the island, which is covered by fragrant macchia, to a valley of vineyards, and then onwards to the small museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. The town, built on a 50 meter high cliff and surrounded by vineyards, is the home of the famous white wine, Zlahtina. Another peculiarity that Vrbnik has to offer is the second narrowest alley in the world. The road will lead us across the island through old villages and rich vegetation to Omisalj. On the way, we’ll have a chance to swim in the bay of Soline. We will spend the night in Omisalj.
8th Day (Sun) Departure

The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. around 9 am.
Changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organizational requirements. Sometimes the tour will be conducted in reverse order. You will find further details in your booking information packet.
Requirements
The tours are of low to medium level of difficulty, divided into daily stages of 40-60 km on mostly peaceful asphalted roads (40 %), concrete coastal paths, nature trails and single trails at an average elevation of 500 meters and can be completed without time constraints. The downhills are partly challenging and adequate technical skills are assumed.
Bike helmets are required on all bike rides. Bike helmets are available on board in limited number (reservation requested). You can always decide to skip a bike tour and spend a day on the ship.
Bringing Children
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and of a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the bike tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1, 40 m (4.6 ft.)
Catering
The cook on board is a member of the crew of four and prepares breakfast and two warm meals a day. The full -board starts with the lunch on the arrival day and ends with breakfast on departure day.
Guided tour
The tour will generally be guided in German language. One of the guides will translate into English for non-German-speaking participants.
