National parks of Central Dalmatia from Zadar to Trogir - Itinerary
Special tour from Zadar to Trogir - 8 days/7 nights - approx. 270 km / 168 mi. by bicycle
Croatia has a beautiful and well-indented coast with thousands of islands, reefs and bays. Numerous romantic ruins, charming hills, countless natural beauties and phenomena are waiting to be discovered. We invite you to spend a week on a ship cruising between the mainland and the sea. Good cuisine, an open-minded crew and knowledgeable tour guides are expecting you. You will visit two national parks and the islands of Central Dalmatia, starting from Trogir. Highlights include UNESCO-protected Old town of Trogir, Primosten, Sibenik with its famous cathedral, Zadar, National Park Krka-Waterfalls and nature park Telascica. Trogir can easily be reached via Split Airport. Spend your days cycling, and nights on board of your luxurious motor yacht Romantica , which will be accompanying you throughout the whole trip.

Individual approach, either by car to Trogir or by plane to Split. Meeting point for all guests is the hotel Adria, which is located 8 km away from Trogir. A transfer bus awaits you there at 11 am. which will bring you to Zadar (approx. 1,5 hrs). For guests who arrive later, a second transfer to Zadar will take place at 2 pm. In Zadar check in on the Romantica. In the afternoon you can join a guided city tour in Zadar through the lanes of the lively old center. 3.000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town and there are many things to be admired: the mighty fortification walls with their bastions, the loggia but also the early Romanesque St. Donatus basilika. Overnight in the harbour of Zadar.
Day 2 (Sun) Islands of Ugljan and Molat (approx. 15 + 20 km/9 + 12 mi. by bicycle)

In the morning short cruise to Preko on the island of Ugljan, which is the starting point of your first bicycle tour to Muline, where the boat awaits you and takes you to Molat. The island of Molat is well-known for its lush vegetation. In the afternoon you cycle the short road from Molat, the main harbour of the island, to Zapuntel and back to Molat, where you will spend the night.

In the morning you cruise to the island of Dugi Otok. Your bike tour begins at the bay of Božava surrounded by pine forests, agaves and tamarisks, along a virtually traffic-free road. At first you bicycle to the lighthouse of Veli Rat and to a deserted beach for swimming. Then, along a panoramic road, you ride clear across the island. During the ride you are treated to countless unforgettable vistas of the islands in the deep-blue sea. You meet your boat in the beautiful little harbour of Savar and have lunch. Afterwards you continue by bike along the panorama road as far as Sali, where you spend the night.
Day 4 (Tue) Islands of Dugi Otok, Ugljan and Pašman - Biograd (approx. 15 + 30 km/9 + 19 mi. by bicyclce)

In the morning you follow in the footsteps of Winnetou: The bike ride takes you into the Telascica nature park, the location of the „Silver Lake“ that played an important role in a film about the famous chief of the Apaches. It is not only the Silver Lake but also the steep cliffs above the sea, which you can explore on foot, that make the visit to this nature park such a great experience.
Later on your ship takes you to Lamljana on the island of Ugljan. You bicycle along the east coast and cross a bridge to reach the harbour of Tkon on Pasman Island at the Zadar Canal. Short cross-over to Biograd, a very popular harbour for sailboats, for overnight stay.
Day 5 (Wed) Biograd - Vodice(approx. 55 km/34 mi. by bicycle)

After breakfast you start your extensive bike tour that takes you around Vraner Lake to Vodice. The VranerLake is the largest freshwater lake in Croatia. On account of its floral and faunal diversity, a large part of the shore and the lake is protected as a nature park. Today’s lunch is a picnic taken during the bike tour. The Romantica already awaits you in Vodice, where you will spend the night.
Day 6 (Thu) Vodice – Skradin – Krka national park (approx. 35 + 10 km/22 + 6 mi. by bicycle)

In the morning you cycle from Vodice through arid and mostly thinly populated hinterland to Skradin, where the boat will wait for you for lunch. From Skradin you explore after lunch the lower Krka waterfalls - surviving in their natural beauty – in the national park of the Krka Canyon, a protected geological attraction. Here the Krka River winds its way for the first 10 km through flat land, for another 40 km through deep ravines and for the last 20 km through lakes connected to the sea. Overnight stay in Skradin.
Day 7 (Fri) Sibenik – Primosten - Trogir (approx. 35 km/22 mi. by bicycle)

The Romantica will take you in the morning to Sibenik. The cathedral of St. Jacob is the most famous building in town and part of the UNESCO’s World Heritage sites. On no account should you miss a visit. Afterwards cross-over to Primosten, the starting point of your last bicycle ride that takes you to the hinterland of the coast, through small villages and along little-frequented roads until you reach Trogir, where you have time to explore the historical town centre which is a World Heritage site.
Day 8 (Sat) Disembarkation at Trogir

The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. at 9 am.

You can decide every day for yourself, whether you would like to cycle individually, using the maps provided, or join one of the tour guides (or individual participants).
