Bike Tour from Omisalj to Pula - Itinerary & Advices
Day 1 (Sun) Omišalj – Krk (cycle route approx. 40 km/25 mi.)

Individual arrival in Omišalj, a nice little harbor village on the island of Krk. If you are planning to arrive by car, we will organize a safe parking space for you. The cabins on the motor yacht will be ready for you from 11 am. After lunch your first bike tour starts on the island of Krk. Passing the Bay of Soline and riding through old vil-lages the route takes you to Krk town, the historic capital of the island. There you will spend your first night on board of the Tarin.
Day 2 (Mon) Island of Rab (cycle route approx. 20 + 20 km/12,5 + 12,5 mi.)

In the morning, your ship takes to Lopar on the island of Rab which reputedly is one of the sunniest places in the entire Mediterranean. From Lopar you bike across the well watered, green peninsula southwards to the town of Rab, where lunch on board is already waiting for you. In the afternoon, the bike route takes you along the waterfront to the arid eastern side of the island whose rough, craggy landscape resembles a place on the moon. The route continues on to a bay with a sandy beach - which is quite rare in the islands of Kvarner Bay – where you can go for a swim. In the evening you have enough time to explore the interesting island capital with its three bell towers and to drink some Croatian wine in one of the town’s cozy bars.
Day 3 (Tue) Island of Pag (cycle route approx. 35 km/22 mi.)

During breakfast on board you reach the island of Pag. Fig and olive trees thrive in the rough but appealing landscape of this island. The ubiquitous field walls were built over many centuries as protection against the wind. You bicycle from Lun to Mandre where the ship takes you in the afternoon to the fishermen harbour of Sali on the island of Dugi Otok.
Day 4 (Wed) Island of Dugi Otok (cycle route approx. 45 km/28 mi.)

On the so-called “spice-island” of Dugi Otok today's bike-tour will start again in Sali and you will ride on a road nearly free of traffic to Savar, where the boat awaits you for lunch. In the afternoon you continue cycling on the panoramic road and finally you will reach the bay of Božava, which is surrounded by woods of pine, agave and tamarisk trees. A short cross-over takes you to the island of Molat where you stay overnight.
Day 5 (Thu) Islands of Molat and Lošinj (cycle route approx. 10 + 20 km/6 + 12,5 mi.)

On the island of Molat which is well-known for its lush vegetation you make a short cycle tour to the other side of the island before the boat will bring you to the island of Lošinj. Along the seaside walk you cycle in the after-noon from Mali Lošinj to the south of Lošinj and visit the picturesque small harbor of Veli Lošinj which is domi-nated by the huge church of St. Anton. Before you return to the boat you will have enough time to enjoy the lively harbor and the famous ice-cream. Overnight stay in Mali Lošinj.
Day 6 (Fri) Islands of Lošinj and Cres (cycle route approx. 45 km/28 mi.)

After breakfast you will cycle from Mali Lošinj to Osor on the island of Cres which is connected to Lošinj island by a swing-bridge. In Osor you have lunch on board and you can take a bath in the crystal clear water of the Adriatic sea. In the afternoon your bike tour takes you to the harbor of Martinscica on Cres island where the Tarin awaits you for dinner.
Day 7 (Sat) Cres Island - Pula (cycle route approx. 30 km/18 mi.)

Early in the morning the Tarin takes you to Pula on the Istrian peninsula. In the morning your cycling tour will start in the harbor of Pula and will lead you nearby the coast to the southernmost point of Istria. On asphalted roads you will continue your tour to Medulin, a beautiful village which you will easily recognize by its two white bell towers. From Medulin you will return to Pula.
Day 8 (Sun) Departure from Pula

The guests are expected to check out after breakfast, i.e. by 9 am. Individual departure or extended stay in Istria or on Krk Island. On request we will organize for you a collective transfer back to Omišalj (approx. 2 hrs).

You can also choose to skip a bike tour and spend a day sunbathing on the ship instead. The roads are mostly asphalted and there is little traffic outside of holiday periods. You can decide every day for yourself, whether you would like to cycle individually using the maps provided, or join one of the tour guides (or other individual participants).
