Dubrovnik's famous historic old town, which belongs since 1980 to the World Heritage list of the UNESCO, is surrounded by a very well preserved and impressive city wall. Among the sightseeings of Dubrovnik rate the Onoforio-fountain, which was built in the 15th century, the church of St. Blasius and the palace of Sponza. Worth-seeing is also the small island of Lokrum with its medieval fortress and the monastery of the Benedictines.
