Allow me to introduce myself:
I'm Elvis. Yes, that's really my name, even though many look at me in disbelief at first or think it must be my nickname.
I was born in 1989 in Velika Kadus in Bosnia Herzegovina.
Because of the war my family and I moved to Aachen in 1994, the coronation city of German kings and emperors. Here I attended a German primary school from the 1st class and learnt German, which I’m still using on an everyday basis especially in the Tourism industry.
In 1996 we moved to Topusko in Croatia, where my grandfather in the meantime built a house for our family. Topusko is very close to Karlovac (where the world’s best beer is brewed = Karlovacko!).
I attended the school there and completed my education as well as a further 4 years of studies in Tourism and Hotel. Thereafter I moved to Beograd and worked there for one season as a waiter. Longingly I constantly looked out to sea. Although I was at sea, I realized I wanted to be ON sea...
In 2010 my wish came true and since then I’ve been a tour guide on our ships for Islandhopping on the Croatian Adriatic. I can still clearly remember my first tour, it was from Trogir to Dubrovnik, and was the very first time on a ship…
In the meantime I’ve ‘islandhopped’ many tours and the question, “which is your favourite tour?” is very difficult to answer, as every tour is beautiful and special.
However, I can say that I find our new Multi-Adventure tours very special – even though the ages of some guests are quite close to mine. My "older" colleagues and our guests feel that I am responsible despite my young age and that they always feel in good hands. Not just when I fix a tire in record time...
Since the winter in 2012 I’ve found a new hobby, known as skiing. Photos of my first skiing adventure can be seen on our Islandhopping Facebook page…
I’m looking forward to exploring the islands in Croatia and enjoying the delicious cuisine on the ships with you.
