Hello, my name is Ivana.

I was born and raised in Bruchsal, which is located in the upper Rhenish lowlands, the warmest region in Germany. My parents came here, independent of each other, from Croatia at the end of the 60s with the intention of working for a few years as „Gastarbeiters“. They met each other here and eventually produced my sister, my brother and finally me. So we stayed in Germany, grew up bi-lingually and had the good fortune of getting excellent schooling.

Since I know my home country from numerous vacations and virtually all my relatives live there, I am thrilled at the chance of getting to know my country more in- and extensively and, moreover, to sharing that experience with you.

In my free time nothing can keep me inside and as soon as the sun comes out I am on the go: inline skating, swimming, biking and - my latest and at the moment greatest passion – surfing. For some ten years I have also been dancing and singing Croatian folklore, my way of preserving a piece of my parental homeland in Germany

When I am at home at my parents’, I am mobbed 90% of the time by my sister’s three children, who always know how to amuse me – and I them! But, joking aside, I really do have a big heart for children and I hope that I can sweeten up your kids’ vacation – and yours, of course – on our Island Hopping tour. I come with high motivations and am sure that we shall share wonderful experiences!
