Hello, my name is Michael and I come from the Harz region, Germany’s northernmost medium high mountain range. So it isn’t surprising that mountain biking is one of my favorite sports. In winter, I also ski regularly in the Dolomites.

My greatest sports passion, however, is uni-hockey, a fast team sport - related to ice-hockey - originating in Scandinavia. This was the reason why, after graduating from highschool, I went to Sweden for some time to play in the Swedish league. At the same time I had the chance to improve my English and to learn Swedish.

Travelling is another  passion of mine. Backpacking tours have taken me, for example, to Marocco and the North Cape. So, naturally, I am now looking forward to working as an Island Hopping tour guide after my return from Sweden and before starting university studies. It will be fun to explore the country by bike together with Island Hopping guests and to get to know the  local people.
