Bike Tour from Trogir to Omisalj - Itinerary & Advices

1st Day (Sat) Trogir (Embarkation)

Individual arrival at Split airport, which is about 5 km/ 3 mi. away from the harbor of Trogir. Check-in on the boat in Trogir. The cabins on the motor yacht will be ready for you from 11 am. In the afternoon we can stroll through the narrow alleys of the Old town, protected as World Cultural Heritage, and devote our attention to the cultural side of the trip. Overnight stay in Trogir.

2nd Day (Sun) Trogir – Primosten –  National Park of Kornati (ca. 45 km/28 mi. by bicycle)

From Trogir our first bike tour takes us through small villages in the hinterland on roads with little traffic to Primosten. From there we go on our first cruise through the national park of Kornati islands, an ar-chipelago of crystal clear waters known for its diverse flora and fauna. Today’s destination is the fishermen village of Sali on the “spice island” island of Dugi Otok.

3rd Day (Mon) Island of Dugi Otok (ca. 15 + 20 km/ 9 + 12 mi. by bicycle)

Starting from Sali we visit in the morning by bicyle the nature park of Telascica. In the peaceful atmosphere of the park we go for a walk along the impressing cliffs of the island before we return to Sali. While cycling in the afternoon to Savar we will be impressed by the terrific views of the deep blue sea and the surrounding islands.

4th Day (Tue) Islands of  Dugi Otok and Molat  (ca. 30 + 20 km/19 + 12 mi. by bicycle)

Our morning bike tour will start in Savar and lead us to the bay of Bozava, which is surrounded by woods of pine, agave and tamarisk trees, and we’ll ride on a road nearly free of traffic. Short crossover to the small island of Molat, where we’ll cycle from Molat to Zapuntel and back. We will spend the night in Molat.

5th Day (Wed) Lošinj Island (ca. 20 km/12 mi. by bicycle)

Today we sail to Losinj Island. From Mali Lošinj we cycle in the afternoon along the seaside walk to the south of Lošinj and visit the picturesque small harbour of Veli Lošinj dominated by the impressive church of St. Anthony. After a coffee break we return to Mali Lošinj where we enjoy dinner on board. After dinner we can visit the dance bar in Mali Lošinj, a famous meeting point for musicians.

6th Day (Thu) Rab Island (ca. 20 km/12 mi. by bicycle)

In the morning the boat takes us to Rab Island, which is said to be one of the sunniest places of Europe. We will bike along the coast to the east side of the island, an area with virtually no vegetation, whose rough and cliffy rocks remind us of a lunar landscape. The road will lead us to a bay with a sandy beach, which is rather atypical for the Kvarner islands. In the evening there is enough time to explore the town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the medieval times on a wedge shaped headland, and marks one of the highlights of the trip.

7th Day (Fri) Rab Island (ca. 28 km/18 mi. by bicycle)

Today’s bike ride takes us through the impressive Dundo forrest to the fertile west side of Rab Island. We will pass the village of Kampor with its beautiful Franciscan monastery St. Eufemija and the har-bour village of Supetarska Draga which is famous for water sports before we return to Rab town. In the afternoon crossover to Krk Island to the homonymous island’s capital, where we will spend the night.

8th Day (Sat) Krk Island (ca. 45 km/28 mi. by bicycle)

From Krk town we cycle first to Vrbnik. The town, built on a 50-meter-high cliff and surrounded by vineyards, is the home of the famous white wine, Zlahtina. Another peculiarity that Vrbnik has to offer is the second narrowest alley in the world. From Vrbnik we continue our way to the bay of Soline and through old villages the tour takes us finally to Omisalj, where we will spend our last night on board.

9th Day (Sun) Omisalj (Disembarkation)

The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. at 9 am.
